Silver-screen veteran Sigourney Weaver turns 68 today, most notably famous for her role as Ellen Ripley in the Alien franchise.

Blazing her way through alien nests, battling xenomorphs in power loaders, and taking no shit as she does so, Weaver’s Ripley has been an icon in the horror universe since her debut in 1979. Whether it be for the feminist lens she’s cast upon the horror industry or her weapon-wielding badassery, Weaver made her mark on the world of film as soon as she donned her Nostromo jumpsuit.

Playing tomorrow at this year’s FrightFest 2017, Voice from the Stone looks to be a period horror with a spine-tingling secret.

The plot revolves around nurse Verena (Emilia Clarke), who moves to an isolated castle in Tuscany to help a mute young heir (Edward Dring). The more time she spends at the castle however, the more she succumbs to believing there is a powerful entity in the walls – one that is bewitching the boy and taking a hold of her own sanity in the process.
