A world away from the animated classic of our childhood, Tomas Alfredson’s The Snowman will be spelling out bloody murder this October.

The trailer release centres around a harrowing spree of murders unfolding when the snow starts to fall. Linked to crimes of the past, an elite crime squad’s lead detective (Michael Fassbender) must race against the clock to figure out who is killing women in his local town – before the next snowfall claims another victim.

Horror icon George A. Romero passes away at 77 years old

A staple of the horror community for roughly 50 years and the inventor of the modern zombie as we now know it, George A. Romero passed away yesterday evening after losing his battle with cancer.

Late on Sunday, it was confirmed that Romero passed away after a short, intense battle with lung cancer. The film icon leaves behind a legacy that suitably fits his larger than life character, with his work remaining as important to the horror genre now as it was on release nearly 50 years ago.

FrightFest announces its schedule for 2017

The UK’s biggest and best film festival for all things horror is bringing back the scares for another year this August bank holiday.

FrightFest returns with a line-up as monstrous as it is magnificent, with Cineworld Leicester Square as the hunting ground for all things spooky. London’s West End will be home to 63 films over the four day event, including 17 World, 20 European, and 17 UK premieres in total. With five continents represented and a massive 14 countries with submissions, weird is definitely going worldwide in 2017’s festival.

Cara Delevingne fights aliens and Rihanna has a cabaret debut in the making of Valerian

A behind the scenes video has been released detailing Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets‘ creation, with exclusive comments from director Luc Besson.

Besson details with fond memory his first experience of the graphic novel in the three and a half minute clip, remarking that Valerian was the film he always dreamed of making: ‘I’ve waited my entire life to make this film, and the journey has been amazing.’ You can take a glimpse of this journey below in a special behind the scenes montage of Besson’s mindset in the run up to the film’s release.

Churning out some of the biggest fantasy names on the market, Bethesda is responsible for amazing RPGs such as the critically acclaimed Oblivion, and the most recent Skyrim. Both have won game of the year, RPG of the year, and places on the top games of all time. But before that – there came The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.
